Mainspring barrel

To open the mainspring barrel I needed a third hand.

The mainspring was broken and repaired at the outer end before and sometime the spring broke at the inner diameter.

The calibre 201 is metioned in the BESTFIT catalog and an image is on page 348.

A quick designed stand for the clock.

The stem is broken and needs replacement.

Here tap and die for UNF 2-64 to make a new stem.

I discovered a spring that closely matches the original specifications.
