Historically, Junghans calibrated their production according to demand, possibly employing both types of serial number systems over time. Intriguingly, I have not come across any two-digit serial numbers yet, leading me to wonder whether Junghans initiated their serial numbers with "1" or perhaps "100".

Deciphering the production dates of Junghans calibers through their serial numbers has proven to be an elusive task. As a result, the dating of Junghans calibers according to their serial number is not possible. Furthermore, some calibers, like J35, J38, 52, 53, 55, 69 and 71, bear no serial numbers at all.

To address this uncertainty, I have compiled a record of the lowest and highest serial numbers of various movements, along with dedication engraving dates.
